JOHN Blunt is quite right about the teaching of grammar in schools (LET, August 18).
He must be writing from first hand experience. His column contained no less than ten sentences beginning with the words "and," "but" and "for".
I was taught not to start sentences with conjunctions. Sorry John - C minus for grammar.
