BOYS Club got off to a flying start in a First Division which is down to nine teams with the late withdrawal of Crooked Billet, and champions Northbridge's retirement.
The Boys enjoyed a 6-1 win over Craven Heifer thanks to Mark Harrison and Craig Robinson who both scored twice.
Miners had a thriller with Park View who went into an early two-goal lead. Miners levelled the game by half time, but Park View made it 4-2 for Miners to level at 4-4 and finally win 6-4.
CWR beat Paradise Island 2-1 with Chris Cook scoring twice. Havelock beat a weak Yatefield 4-0 thanks to Gareth Sneddon's two goals.
In the Second Division newly promoted Byerden House hit nine past a poor Rose & Crown side, Alan Harrison and Keiron Toys both scoring hat tricks. Lane Ends won 5-0, Georve IV won easily 2-0 over Woodman, Coal Clough and Butterfly shared four goals with the two Daves - Trickett and Jolly - scoring for Butterfly and Redrose and Cakeboards drew 1-1.
In Division Three newcomers Veka met fellow newcomers Railway Hotel. The difference between the teams was Jason Plum whose hat -trick gave Veka an easy victory 4-1. TSB cruised to an easy 3-0 victory over Artline UK. Martin Horsfield scored twice, Colne Clarets beat Lane Ends 1-0. Burnley Boys Club Youth met newcomers Glory and won comfortably 3-0 with two goals from Aran Cisele. Old faithfuls Parkside beat Warburtons 3-2 with goals from Stockddale, Stevenson and Jed Cowgill.
TSB gave an impressive performance and are the team to beat.
