PRIZEWINNERS in the Great Harwood in Bloom competition received cash awards and certificates.
The contest was jointly organised by Great Harwood and Rishton Rotary Club and the Civic Society.
Cash prizes were presented by rotary club president Geoff Grundy. Louie Pollard, freeman of the borough, also presented cash prizes on behalf of the civic society. Hyndburn Mayor Coun Bernard Dawson, presented framed certificates.
Winners: Best basket award for householders, 1. Jack Pollard, 2. Mary Congdon, 3. Helen Crowder.
Baskets for shops and pubs, 1. Plough Inn, 2. Candy Time, 3. The Duke Of Wellington pub.
Flower pot (businesses, clubs and churches) 1. Rishton Welding and Engineering Limited, 2. St Hubert's Church came second.
