A CHEMICAL firm is is line for an award for energy saving.
William Blythe, based at Church, is a finalist in the annual Business Energy Awards run by Norweb.
The firm installed a new plant to produce acid which cut running costs by more than 50 per cent a year.
The previous process produced many tonnes of waste effluent and was dearer to run.
"The new plant enabled us to win more business, be more competitive and retain substantial existing business," said Dev Ramsingh, process development manager.
