FOR a man of such high calibre as Mr Roy Martin to resign from Blackburn with Darwen Racial Equality Council after being a member for many years, then there is something seriously amiss.
And, I am afraid, there is probably more to this than meets the eye. All the councillors concerned in this dubious affair, and the director of the REC, should be drummed out of the town hall at once and never again allowed to hold any public office.
If you can't trust these sort of people, who can you trust?
Does the Labour Party think it is so powerful that it is untouchable?
Come next election, I think we could do with a spring clean down at the town hall. It is long overdue and one's home always smells fresher after a spring clean.
