Notts County 2 Bury 0 (agg: 2-1)
BURY crashed out of the Worthington Cup to a Notts County side who were much the inferior in both legs of the tie.
Bury were coasting comfortably but infuriatingly failed to score a number of great chances. Then, in the last 15 minutes, Clayton Blackmore struck home from 20 yards to level the scores on aggregate after Bury's first leg 1-0 win..
Thereafter it was panic stations and the impressive 21-year-old keeper Paddy Kenny was forced to make two world class saves to keep Bury in the hunt.
Craig Stallard then put the home side in front and into the next round from the penalty spot.
