NELSON showed more signs of being a force to be reckoned with by destroying ex-First Division side Holker Old Boys at Victoria Park.
It took just nine minutes for Colin Wright to give them the lead with a close range header following a corner, and six minutes later Wright added a second goal when he rifled home Ian Fleming's pass after the left winger had carved up the Holker defence.
After 35 minutes, Mark Robinson was foiled by goalkeeper Darren Hoyland in a one-on-one situation, but within a minute he had his revenge by beating Hoyland with a shot just inside the far post for Nelson's third goal.
With Les Thompson and Ian Lang looking solid at the back, the Blues defence was always in command and Nelson added a fourth goal after 59 minutes when Craig Whitaker created the chance for Mark Robinson to score his second goal of the game from close range.
Nelson relaxed in the closing stages having done enough to ensure the three points.
The next game is at Ashton Town (away) on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
