YOUR correspondent Mr Lawes (Letters, August 11) is extremely naive. Where does he get his figures from when he talks about one IRA murder. Has he forgotten Omagh's first anniversary last week - 29 dead, hundreds badly injured.
More than 170 shootings, mutilations and attempted murders have taken place since the so-called cease fire, not forgetting 3,000 already dead.
Speak to Lawrence Rush whose wife died in Omagh. The priest told him that she was in a better place. He does not think so. He sent the £7,000 they gave him back to Tony Blair and the £1,000 he got for the funeral back to Mo Mowlam. He got no reply. Say no more.
