DAVE Saker will be returning for a second season as professional at Enfield next summer after agreeing terms with the Dill Hall Lane club.

The Victoria pace bowler has taken 64 wickets and scored over 400 runs in the EW Cartons Lancashire League this season.

However, Todmorden are not retaining Queenslander Brendan Nash.

Two Lancashire League cricketers have been handed suspended two-match bans following an incident in the game between Lowerhouse and Haslingden on August 1.

John Russell, of Lowerhouse, and Haslingden's Paul Blackledge were given the punishment at a disciplinary hearing held at Accrington.

The bans will be suspended until the end of next year.

It is understood the incident involving the two players occurred during a drinks interval.
