PUPILS of St. Thomas' School have officially opened a new play area in Bedford.
Bedford has been undergoing a renewal programme over the last three years and the play area is the latest addition to the scheme.
The Bedford Steering Group have been pushing for a play area since the beginning of the renewal scheme and, with the help of the Council's Environmental Health Department, the play area is now a reality.
St. Thomas' CE Primary were invited to help with the plans.
Staff and pupils have been involved with the layout and helped to choose the equipment for the area.
The play area, designed for children by children, was opened last Wednesday.
