THE body of a homeless man, known locally as Dave, has been found in Preston's Peace Garden.
The body was found in bushes opposite the Flax and Firkin in Lune Street - a regular hang out for vagrants and drinkers.
Police believe Dave was in his early thirties and of Irish descent.
They also revealed that there were no suspicious circumstances around his death.
After the area was cordoned off, a doctor pronounced Dave dead and his body was taken to the mortuary at Royal Preston Hospital.
A formal identification took take place on Friday (August 20) but police have not yet revealed his name.
