THINGS must be ticking over quite nicely at Bloomfield Road - not one Blackpool supporter has a grievance they want addressing by chairman Karl Oyston.
Despite an appeal for questions to put to Mr Oyston, the Citizen has received just one, not that you'll find the man himself bemoaning the fact.
"It must mean people have little to complain about and things are acceptable," he explained.
In his eyes things are indeed acceptable off the pitch with the changes made during the close season working out well.
He has even permanently set up base at the Bloomfield Road site, sending the message that he is keen to get involved with the improvements currently being implemented.
"We need to see and be told about any problems so we can do something about them," he added.
One of these changes Mr Oyston is looking at is to strengthen links with schoolchildren. Although no firm plans have yet been made, one idea is to have players handing out tickets or vouchers and linking it up with charity.
And even the talks with the council are going well.
"We've had another chat with them and we are progressing as well as can be expected," said Mr Oyston.
"We even hope to be in a position to submit an application within the next three months."
The only blip could be the team's early exit from the Worthington Cup at the hands of Tranmere on Tuesday night (Aug 24).
Although reluctant to comment on the footballing side, preferring to leave that to manager Nigel Worthington, Mr Oyston admitted: "I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but we do have a lot of injuries for this time of year and when you're not at full strength players are played out of position.
"That, of course, is just my opinion as a lay-man."
