A COURSE giving an insight into the history of St Helens will be run from the Local History and Archives department from next month.
Introduction to Sources for Local History highlights the various sources of documentary evidence available for studying the past at the Central Library-based department. These include documents dating back to the 18th and 19th century, maps and other archives.
It is 12 weeks long and no previous knowledge of local history is necessary. Sessions will be held in the Local History department between 6.45 and 8.45pm every Thursday and enrolment is on the first session - Thursday, September 23.
