BURY is the venue for a major North West conference on environmental protection in the construction industry.
Delegates from all over the region are expected to attend the event at Bury FC on Monday, September 13.
Hosting the conference is the Business Environment Association (BEA) Bury, supported by East Lancs Paper Mill, TNT (UK) and Terry Adams.
The organisers stress a priority for environmental improvement is the prevention of pollution from the construction industry.
This, says the BEA, has been recognised by the regulators and the industry itself as a key issue that needs to be tackled.
The conference has been set up by those parties to assist and provide guidance for firms to take action to prevent offences, rather than face prosecution afterwards.
Those who wish to book a place should contact Emma Critchley at Bury BEA on 763 4185.
