EMPLOYERS in Bury are being offered the chance to chew over ways of improving job prospects for people with disabilities.
The Bury Employment Support and Training organisation (Bury EST) want local company bosses to join a new employer network.
And, to get the whole scheme off the ground, free places are being offered at a breakfast seminar to be staged at the Village Hotel in Prestwich on Thursday, 16 September.
Manager with the Bury Council Social Service's run organisation, Huw Davies, said: "The idea is that the network will advise Bury EST on its supported employment service and will also help to develop ways of exchanging policies and practice in relation to the employment of people with a disability.
"At the seminar, there will be information about the Disability Discrimination Act and we also want to encourage discussion around research that we have carried out into employment practice locally."
Those companies interested in attending the event should contact Huw on 0161 253 6588, for further details.
