SCORING on his debut is nothing new for Mark Patterson.
And the former Bury and Bolton midfielder did it again on his first outing with Leigh RMI.
He scored 24 minutes into his side's 3-1 coast against Lancaster.
"I enjoyed every minute of it and found it competitive," he said. "I haven't had any pre-season games so I was pleased with the team winning and me having a good start."
Patterson's goal came from a Neil Matthews cross that he struck first time from the edge of the box, goalkeeper Mark Thornley palming it into the far corner.
Steve Jones and Ian Monk wrapped it up after City had equalised.
