METHODIST minister the Rev Donald Parsons, who died aged 64 in the Royal Preston Hospital, will be remembered at a special service.
Rev Parsons, who lived with his wife Rhona in Alder Drive, Hoghton, was Ecumenical Officer for Lancashire.
He was a strong supporter of the "Churches Together" group, as well as being interested in travel, music and drama. His wife said: "He was very enthusiastic and energetic and was loved by so many."
He died on Sunday, August 22, leaving his wife, daughters Jacqueline and Susan, son Christopher and two grandchildren. A funeral service was held on Friday and a thanksgiving service will be held on October 2, in St Clare's RC Church, Fulwood, Preston.
