IF THE bid is successful and Blackburn and Darwen does become a city, then we would become the undisputed centre of Lancashire. That could only be a good thing for the people who live and work here.
We've been trying for some time now to become a city and, you never know, it could be our turn on this occasion. We can only try our best.
Certainly having Blackburn and Darwen bidding together to be a city is a novelty which other places in the running don't have.
