MRS MICHELLE Pickering (Letters, August 25) is obviously doing an excellent job in caring for her 92-year-old bedridden mother.
While I wish her all the best, I take exception to her uncharitable generalisations.
Most residents of old people's homes are far from 'unwanted.' Please, don't indirectly label their caring relatives as front-line representatives of a 'shallow, greedy and selfish society.'
Surely, Mrs Pickering can reason that each case is individual and must be judged as such.
