POLICE are hunting for a 'skinny' armed robber who stole money from a bank in the centre of Todmorden.
Staff at the Yorkshire Bank in Halifax Road handed over money when they were threatened by a man brandishing a handgun at 2.15pm yesterday.
No shots were fired and no-one was hurt although staff at the bank were badly shaken by the incident.
The man made off on foot with what police will only describe as 'a sum of cash'.
He was white, 5ft 5ins tall and skinny.
He was wearing a dark navy blue zip-up jacket, blue baseball cap, possibly Nike brand, and large dark glasses in a black frame.
A police spokesman said: "Fortunately no-one was injured.
"We are appealing to the public for information and anyone who can help is asked to contact the help desk at Brighouse police station on 01484 405259."
