TWO men suffered stab wounds in Nelson last night.
One man, who has not been named, suffered wounds to his neck and leg and was taken to Burnley General Hospital. Police said the injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
The second man, Imran Choudhry, suffered a stab wound to his hand.
Inspector John Clucas, of Pendle police, said: "Officers were called to the Bankhouse Road area and were approached by a young man who was bleeding from his hand.
"A man was arrested a short time later and a knife was recovered."
A man in his early 40s was being questioned by detectives at Colne police station today.
It was the second stabbing incident in three days in Pendle.
In an unrelated incident Gerald Connor, 27, of Kenilworth Drive, Earby, suffered stab wounds to his head and abdomen during an incident in Earby on Sunday. Mr Connor is recovering in Burnley General. A 23-year-old Earby man has been charged with his attempted murder.
