FIRMS are being urged to be aware of new legislation giving employees new rights.
Over the next 18 months, a series of new laws come into force covering areas such as trade union recognition, unpaid leave for family emergencies and extension of maternity leave.
Later this year the limit for unfair dismissals will also be raised to £50,000.
The East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is staging a seminar on September 30 to help guide employers through the new legislation.
