TAKEOVER target Allied Carpets has unveiled more evidence of its dramatic turnaround in fortunes announcing a jump of more than 16 per cent in its latest weekly sales figures.
The group - which has a site in Blackburn - has received takeover approaches from three different companies in the last two weeks.
It said said like-for-like sales in the ninth week of its current trading year were ahead 16.8 per cent on last year.
The figures build on previous trading statements from the company which showed a sharp turnaround in fortunes since the first two weeks of the financial year in early July when like-for-like sales were down by as much as 13 per cent on the previous year.
