EAST Lancashire-based riders produced a number of creditable performances in the annual 25-mile time trial organised by the Nelson Wheelers Cycling Club and held on the Garstang course on Sunday morning.
Best placed of our local riders was Dave Ebbrell of Wilpshire, riding for Blackburn and District CTC, with 56mins 57secs - just over a minute behind overall event winner Martin Bowes of the Cleveleys Road Club.
Other East Lancs riders beating the hour barrier were: Graham Waddington (Pendle Forest) 57mins 14secs, Simon Phillips (Pendle Forest) 57.31, Fraser Snape (NLRC) 57.58, Jason Bateman (Pendle Forest) 58.06, Stuart Whitehead (Spintech) 58.33, Jonathan Boothman (Pendle Forest) 59.00 and Chris Briggs (NLRC) 59.24.
