TEENAGE starlet Nick Dougherty has been rewarded for another outstanding season with a first call-up to the England men's team.
The 17-year-old Shaw Hill ace has been drafted into England's four-man team for the Audi World Amateur Masters currently taking place at the Sporting Berlin Golf Club in Germany.
And the former QEGS student has also been named as a reserve when England compete in the Home Internationals at Royal County Down later this month.
Dougherty has had an outstanding summer, captaining England Boys to the World and European team titles, before helping Great Britain and Ireland Boys retain the Jacques Leglise Trophy against the Continent of Europe last weekend.
But the chance to play in the senior international side at the age of 17 is another vital step in his bid to reach the top.
