Division Two: Burnley v Bournemouth

BOURNEMOUTH will be looking to cure a severe bout of travel sickness when they arrive at Turf Moor tonight.

The Cherries have lost all three of their away games so far this season, including a 3-2 reverse at Third Division Barnet in the Worthington Cup.

That contrasts with a 100 per cent home record in league and cup so it's apparent where Mel Machin's men have greatest room for improvement.

Their latest defeat on the road came at previously goalless Scunthorpe last Saturday.

But after ending Luton's unbeaten record in mid-week, sixth-placed Bournemouth hope that set-back is firmly behind them as they prepare for the visit to Burnley.

"The lads are going there with confidence now," insisted striker Steve Fletcher, whose third goal of the season tarnished Luton's bright start.

"We were down after Scunthorpe but having got ourselves back up I just hope we don't let it slip.

"We've just got to show a bit more determination and character if the going gets a little bit tough.

"But if we produce anything like we did in the second half on Tuesday night we should be all right."

Nevertheless, Fletcher is expecting a difficult game against the Clarets, who have also won all their Second Division home games to date.

"They are right up there. I think they have spent a bit of money in the summer and it's going to be tough," he added.
