PRESTON'S furniture recycling charity GIFT 92 is now able to donate electrical equipment to the the needy.
The charity which supplies furnishings to people in need, offers the new service thanks to Louise Ellis, a student at Keele University on placement with Shell-Step who set the project up.
Peter Metcalf of GIFT 92 said: "After seven years, this is another great development in the work we do to help out the less well-off." Preston mayor Geoff Swarbrick, said: "This means an awful lot to people who are in need."
He thanked Billingtons and Ashton Domestic for helping the charity. Anyone wishing to donate electrical items can send them to: GIFT 92, c/o Peter Metcalf, Richard House, Winckley Square, Preston PR1 3HP.
