MAY I offer heartfelt thanks from all the members of Connections, a social group in Bury, who owe a great debt of gratitude to Judith and Peter Taylor.
Once again they have been hard at work organising lots of activities for a group whose disabilities would otherwise limit their social opportunities.
We had such a great time on holiday in Llandudno that we were reluctant to return home. Since then we have visited a garden centre and future dates they have planned include a social evening this month, Christmas dinner, a panto in January and then back to Llandudno for a week in May. We can't wait.
As most of us have a disability, organising such outings is never a simple matter. For example, scooters have to be hired and paid for to aid our mobility. So we can't thank Judith and Peter enough for sacrificing their private time in order to give us a social life.
It would be wrong to overlook the efforts, also, of Shopmobility's Andy, Brian and Sheila who, along with many others, ensure that we get scooters and are welcomed back from our "jaunts" with suitable refreshments.
Everyone takes great care of us and we just want them to know that we all appreciate everything they do. God bless.
