THE Labour Party is reported to have lost 75,000 members since the general election. If this figure is accurate it must be a cause for great concern among the party leadership.
For, although Labour continues to extend its lead over the Tories in all the opinion polls, loss of party members usually means disaffection in the heartlands...among the people who do all the hard work, such as door-knocking leading up to elections.
It leaves us asking whether Labour's incredible lead at the polls in mid-term is down to popular policies or a weak and ineffective opposition?
