THREE YMCA teams came home victorious from last weekend's BJFF's two-day soccer festival staged at the Bispham Gala Field (Aug 29/30).
This annual event attracted more than 100 teams in various age-groups and included clubs from Liverpool, Preston and East Lancs.
Last Sunday YMCA's newly-formed U9s seven-a-side squad played in their first tournament ever and performed brilliantly.
They played nine games during the day, never lost once and claimed the winners' shield by beating Walton-Le-Dale 3-0 in the final.
YMCA's U11s were also in action but were unlucky in just failing to qualify by goal difference.
The following day, Bank Holiday Monday, two more YMCA teams were in action, the U10s in the 7-a-side competition and U13s in the 11-a-side event.
Both teams performed impressively throughout and both went through to collect the winners' shields in both competitions.
