I WAS passing Bury Town Hall recently when I noticed the Pakistan flag flying from the flag pole. I believe this was to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day.
While people respect the Pakistani community and other ethnic groups, this gesture was political correctness gone mad.
Perhaps someone from the council could tell the public of Bury why our Union flag was not flying on the occasion of the Queen Mother's recent birthday.
