I AM a mature student about to commence my final year of a history degree at the University of Central Lancashire and am looking to study the homes for unmarried mothers during the 1950s and '60s as part of my dissertation.
I would be grateful to hear from any Citizen readers who had any experience, either through working or spending time in the homes, as their knowledge would be invaluable.
The whereabouts of any such homes, particularly in the Fylde or Preston, would also be gratefully appreciated - regardless of whether they still exist.
All correspondence will be treated in the strictest confidence.
