Division Two: Preston North End v Chesterfield
DOMINIC Ludden could hand David Moyes a welcome selection boost in the left-back berth ahead of tomorrow's Division Two clash with Chesterfield at Deepdale (kick-off 1pm).
And he could provide a vital missing link after Ryan Kidd hobbled out of Wednesday's clash with Reading. Kidd limped off after just quarter of an hour with the problem ankle which has forced him onto the treatment table several times in the past.
But Ludden seems to have shaken off a groin injury sustained at the start of the season and will take a late fitness test before kick off, which has been brought forward to avoid a clash with the England international. Steve Basham and Kurt Nogan look set to start up front from the word go with Jon Macken relegated to the bench.
Lee Cartwright (knee) and Farid Diaf (groin) are close but are unlikely to get a run-out tomorrow.
Squad: Lucas, Alexander, Murdock, Jackson, Kidd, Rankine, Gregan, Appleton, Eyres, Nogan, Basham, Macken, McKenna, Edwards, Darby, Barry-Murphy, Wright, Moilanen.
