DESPITE opening his Rovers goal-scoring account with a match-winning double at Norwich City last Saturday, Egil Ostenstad wasn't named in the Opta Nationwide First Division team of the week.

The strikers' roles went to the Hudderfield Town pair of Marcus Stewart and Clyde Wijnhard, who shared five goals between them as Huddersfield beat Crystal Palace 7-1.

Former Blackburn defender Chris Coleman was named for his performance in Fulham's win over Charlton.

ROVERS home game against Bolton Wanderers - postponed from last Monday - will be played at Ewood Park on Wednesday, December 1 (kick-off 7.45pm). However, that date is subject to neither club being involved in the fourth round of the Worthington Cup.

BLACKBURN'S FA Premier Reserve League game at Bradford City has been put back a day to Wednesday, September 29 at the Bradford and Bingley Stadium (kick-off 7pm).

Meanwhile the reserves are away to Everton next Tuesday night.

THE first leg of Rovers' Worthington Cup second round tie against Portsmouth will be played at Fratton Park on Tuesday, September 14 (kick-off 7.45pm).

The return is at Ewood on Wednesday, September 22 (kick-off 7.45pm).

IPSWICH Town boss George Burley is the Division One manager of the month. Burley has guided his side to the top of the table with four wins and a draw in their first five games, during which time they have found the back of the net 16 times.

THE Ewood Blues Independent Supporters Group are running transport to the game at West Bromwich Albion next Saturday.
