A DRUNKEN man phoned emergency services and said he was going to commit suicide, Burnley magistrates heard.
Gordon Entwistle, 32, told an officer he wanted to end it all, but the policeman managed to calm him down.
The court was told how about an hour later, Enwtistle turned up outside Burnley police station, swore, asked an officer: "What do you care?" and was arrested.
Entwistle, of Grange Street, Burnley, was bound over in the sum of £100, for 12 months. An allegation of disorderly behaviour was withdrawn.
Dermot Woodhead, defending, said Entwistle had a number of learning difficulties. He understood his behaviour was not acceptable and apologised.
Entwistle had been detained in cells until the following morning, which had been a sobering and salutary experience.
