BAND manager Alan Parker is ganging up with some of the original Great Train Robbers to write a film script about one of Britain's most notorious crimes.

Alan, together with former gang members Bruce Reynolds, Tommy Wisby and Gordon Goodey, will meet bosses from Channel Four on Wednesday to discuss the project.

The Blackburn-based author said he was approached by Channel Four with a view to writing a film script based on gangster Bruce Reynolds' book Autobiography Of A Thief. Reynolds' train robbers Tommy Wisby and Gordon Goodey also look set to get involved in the project. Alan, who manages Blackburn punks Boredom and Accrington funk rockers A-Jay And The Maya, said: "Everyone remembers the film Buster where it was all about the family side of things. There was no real violence and Phil Collins songs kept popping up. But we want to do something more realistic and get down to the nitty-gritty of what actually happened - the horrible truth."
