BREWERY workers are setting off for a marathon pub crawl around Lancashire to raise cash for elderly East Lancashire people
Keen walker Christine Feldwicke has organised the 50-mile, two-day trek, to be started at Daniel Thwaites brewery, Blackburn, by director Ann Yerburgh on Saturday, September 11.
Christine and several colleagues will stop at ten pubs on the way in Darwen, Oswaldtwistle, Clitheroe, Whalley, Clayton-le-Dale and Samlesbury before arriving back at the brewery on Sunday.
Christine said: "Everyone is welcome to join in or people can sponsor us if they want."
All money raised will go to the Thwaites Millennium Appeal, run in conjunction with Help the Aged, to raise £30,000 for a community mini-bus. Sponsors can ring the brewery on 01254 54431.
