A CASTLE could have been built from discarded pizza boxes in Burnley while town centre pedestrianisation had attracted so many crowds that litter bins were overflowing and rubbish was building up, it was claimed.
Coun Henry McCormack told Burnley's public protection committee the litter problem was not confined to the centre and wanted Sunday sweepers returned.
