SHARES in several East Lancashire firms have been rated as worth buying, according to a North West stockbroker.
In its monthly report, Henry Cooke Lumsden believes Salterforth-based Silentnight is worth investing in.
The firm recently completed the sale of Wellhouse Wire Products in Barnoldswick for £10 million.
Henry Cooke Lumsden said the proceeds from the deal, together with cash from the sale of the group's US businesses, would be used in other areas that potentially have greater returns.
The shares are currently at 277p, their highest price over the past 12 months.
Computer group Skillsgroup, which owns Acuma in Haslingden, is also rated a buy.
Wolstenholme Rink, based in Darwen, is rated as worth buying for their recovery potential.
And Wardle Storeys, which has sites in Blackburn and Earby, are also rated as a buy.
