AN environmental group arranged a programme of fun events at a site which is the focus of a community project.
Great Harwood Prospects Panel organised a young people's activity day at Bank Mill field behind the Lancashire County Council youth and community centre.
The panel aims to get local people, especially the young, more involved in looking after their environment.
Plans have also been made by the group to improve the Bank Mill site and make it more accessible and enjoyable for nearby residents.
The proposals include tree thinning, a replanting scheme, the building of a bridge and a pond dipping platform, along with additional seating and waste bins.
The project has been paid for by Lancashire Waste Services Lancashire Environmental Fund.
A separate project aimed at marking the history of the former Bank Mill is also being prepared by the panel.
