A YOUNG woman was attacked in her backyard by a man with a pierced lip and smelling of body odour.
The incident happened at 11.20pm last Wednesday in Chapel Street, Brierfield.
The victim was grabbed from behind and dragged to the ground by the man who demanded money.
He stole her purse containing £45 cash and a photo of an eight-month-old baby before running off down the back alley.
He is white, aged 35-40 with long straggly hair and had not shaved for several days.
He was wearing a blue and white top and baggy black pants.
