STADIUM boss Mel Highmore is in line for a top award for job security. Mel, manager of Ewood Park, has been shortlisted for the Security Manager of the Year award run by a trade magazine. Mel spent 35 years with Lancashire police before joining Blackburn Rovers. He was nominated for the award by BSB Electronics of Great Harwood.
"Security management in football has been transformed over the last decade and Mel has been at the forefront of change throughout," said BSB managing director Brett Burby.
Mel will attend an awards dinner in London later this year.
