A HEARTBROKEN mother today told how her daughter's death will give life to others following a freak motorway accident.

Horse-loving Kirsty-Lee Chantelle King, 12, died yesterday after falling out of the side door of the horsebox in which she was travelling on the M62 near Huddersfield on Wednesday night.

She was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious head injuries, but died yesterday afternoon.

It was then her devastated parents Jane and Nick, of Fallbarn Crescent, Rawtenstall, made the heart-wrenching decision to donate their little girl's organs for transplant.

Speaking just hours after Kirsty's death, her mum Jane said: "Kirsty was so spirited, fun-loving and kind. She would have wanted her organs to be donated because she would have wanted to help other people live after her death."

The accident happened when she went with family friend Stephen Duffy and his eight-year-old daughter Samantha to collect a horsebox he had bought in Goole, Humberside.

They were on their way back when it is believed Kirsty fell out of the side door of the horsebox.

A motorway maintenance crew saw the accident, gave Kirsty first aid at the scene and called emergency services.

Jane said: "Kirsty just loved horses and horse riding. She didn't have a horse of her own, but she used to go to the Duffy's house to ride their horses, Fudge and Mindy. "They are absolutely devastated by what happened."

West Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation into the accident and are appealing for witnesses.

Kirsty, who had three sisters Deborah, Natalia, and Tempany, had started at Haslingden High School a week ago after being a pupil at Balladen County Primary School.

Balladen headteacher Paul Danson prepared a special assembly today to tell his pupils about the tragedy.

Kirsty loved dancing and was a pupil at Judy Clegg School of Dance, Rawtenstall, and was also a junior beauty queen.

Jane said: "She was so bright and was the life and soul of every party. She had so many friends at school and on the estate, she really will be missed."
