WHY not name the new bridge the Priory Bridge?
The priory goes back to Anglo-Saxon times, a foundation charter dated 1094 can be seen in the British Library in London.
Its founder was Roger de Portou.
The priory is also mentioned in the Doomsday Book.
What's better and more fitting to have the very old welcoming in the new, ie The Millennium.
