ANIMAL lovers are to have the chance to peak into the practice of The Journal's vet.
A new Vetcare surgery at Ladies Lane, Hindley, has organised an open day on September 19 between 11am and 4pm.
Visitors will have the chance to see the operating theatres, X ray room, kenneling and consulting areas and have the opportunity to speak with the vets and nurses who will be available to answer any questions about the life of a modern veterinary team.
Visiting experts from Guide Dogs for the Blind, Petsearch UK and the Cats Protection League will give a 20 minute talk following a question and answer session.
There will also be advice on how to become a veterinary nurse, and pet health counsellors will be available to give advice on all aspects of pet care.
