ONE of Blackpool's best young sportsmen is nearing the end of the most spectacular season of his life.
For when 15-year-old Zac Taylor takes to the cricket field for the last time this season on Saturday for St Annes he will have Lancashire honours and a Devon and Cornwall tour behind him.
And if this wasn't enough, young Zac, from Highfield Road, Blackpool, broke a record left standing for 70 years after getting a hat-trick for Lancashire North against Lancashire South.
In addition, the cricketing prodigy played in the Ampleforth under 15s festival in late July picking up a £200 Gunn and Moore bat for being Best Player of the Week by bowling 50 overs, 17 maidens, taking 11 wickets for only 90 runs.
And it seems sport runs in the family. Zac's brother Rikkie plays football for the Blackpool School of Excellence as well as Blackpool Town.
