Blackpool Stanley 38 Parr Hare & Hounds 2 A YOUNG Hounds side put up a battling performance but were no match for a strong Blackpool outfit who had the benefit of a previous match under their belts.
The visitors were the best side in the opening quarter but all they had to show for their efforts was a Stuart Haycock penalty goal.
Blackpool's bigger pack gradually began to take control, aided and abetted by unforced errors by Hounds, and by the interval the homesters had forged into a 16-2 lead.
The second half followed a similar pattern to the first with Hounds holding their own for a spell before a late scoring burst gave Blackpool a flattering final margin.
For Hounds, the Dolphin Glass man-of-the-match was centre Paul Thompson with Neil Briers, Barry Dearden, Mark Houghton, and Phil Thompson also worthy of mention
