MOTORISTS are being warned to kill their speed - before they kill someone else.
Bury police traffic unit is taking part in a region-wide speed campaign and those breaking the speed limit face prosecution and possible disqualification.
The month-long campaign started on Monday,September 6.
A host of high-tech speed monitoring devices - including cameras and laser guns - will be used to help catch offenders.
Sergeant Martin Greenwood, of Bury traffic unit, said: "A similar purge in June resulted in the prosecution of 259 motorists for speeding on local roads."
And he promised: "We will catch those who speed."
