TEN thousand pop fans are gearing up to party in Heaton Park and the advice is: don't turn up without a ticket!
Police have warned that fans will be disappointed if they try to gate-crash Sunday's all-ticket Radio One party. Tight security and an 8ft steel shield look certain to thwart those trying to get a glimpse of the star-studded line-up.
Local people have been asked to be patient during the day; roads are likely to be congested and parking restrictions will be in force in Sheepfoot Lane, St Margaret's, and Bury Old Road.
The event goes through from the afternoon to about 10.30pm and police advise people to avoid the area if possible.
