POLICE are hunting three men who picked up a teenager after a night out and drove him to a remote spot before robbing him.
The victim of the attack, a 17-year-old, was walking near McDonald's in Accrington town centre at 2.15am yesterdaywhen he got into a car with three Asian men in it.
The car's child locks were activated so that he could not escape and the youth was driven to an isolated spot.
The robbers, in their mid-20s, then threatened the youth and forced to hand over his wallet, which contained cash and bank cards.
Police believe the youth may have mistaken the robbers' dark four-door saloon for a taxi.
A spokesman for Accrington CID said the victim had been shaken by his ordeal and was still helping police piece together what had happened to him.
Anyone with information should call Accrington CID on 01254 382141.
